Sprechgesang or speak-singing is a vocal technique that combines elements of speech and singing. Sprechgesang is most closely related to operatic recitative with pitch but rapid, loose articulation similar to speech. Spechgesang is sometimes incorrectly interchanged with Sprechstimme.
