Registration Violations occur when singers chooses to sing a pitch in a way that is different from the bodies natural tendency. This choice may be for character, color, or stylistic requirements but inevitably results in a drastic register break instead of smooth transitions. Registration Violations may be more or less common stylistically depending on genre.
