Nasopharynx

The nasopharynx is a part of the upper respiratory tract located behind the nasal cavity and above the oropharynx. It serves as a pathway for air to travel from the nose into the throat. The nasopharynx plays a vital role in respiration, as well as in the production of sound during speech and singing. It contains important structures like the adenoids, which are part of the immune system.
